Mean kinetic temperature (MKT) is a simplified way of expressing the overall effect of temperature fluctuations during storage or transit of perishable goods. The MKT is widely used in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Calculation
Automatic MKT Calculation
Each sensor used in a controlled warehouse temperature application automatically calculates a daily MKT value. As each reading is recorded, the Daily MKT value is updated. Notification thresholds are set to notify users when there is a problem.
